This award winning firm was established in 1963 as Samuel P. Abate, AIA in Asbury Park, NJ and moved to Ocean Township (Monmouth County) in 1984. In 1992, Mr. Abate introduced Richard Villano, as partner in the firm name to Abate/Villano, P.A., Architects and Planners. In 2004, Samuel P. Abate retired and the name of the firm was changed to Architect Richard Villano, P.A. In 2015, Mr. Villano moved the firm to Spring Lake Heights, NJ. The size of the firm continues to grow and varies as need dictates.
Because of our long and diversified experience, the firm has established a comprehensive list of expert consultants who we have utilized successfully depending on project requirements. Included in the group are landscape architectural firms, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, solar and energy conservation experts, surveyors and numerous project experts (such as, truss systems, security systems, kitchen and custom built cabinetry etc.) giving access to the expertise required for any project which we may encounter.
